... around enjoying the fresh air and the city until we got hungry and needed to stop for a snack. We got some pastries and sat by the River enjoying our meal. We noticed a pretty little peninsula under the bridge and decided to check it out where we took a bunch of pictures.
We spent most of the evening looking for campsites and failing. We ended up finding a Formula 1 hotel which is cheap and efficient. The best ...
... and of course washed down with a few glasses of rose!
Next morning we went for a run through the village and along the beach. It was a glorious morning! Afterwards Kim went to have another potter through the village, take some photos and buy groceries while I was able to have my long awaited fiddle with Scooby ...
... south west to Paris. The plan is to visit the villages on the river on the way to Rouen, and are rewarded with their beauty.
We arrive to Rouen late in the afternoon. We eventually and somewhat tentatively settle on a park on the riverside by some docked barges being used as houses.
Kim cooked up gourmet hamburgers which was washed down ...
... is not a traditional church because it is built in a way that is supposed to remind you of how she died, it looks very modern.
I also booked my train ticket for the next trip which was interesting because she couldn't speak english, however I had written down what I wanted and it was sipmple enough although I had to catch a train later than I wanted for my eurrail pass to be valid. It is more difficult to travel in France; firstly because you MUST ...
We started this morning planning to visit Honfleur and spend a couple of days here as it is so beautiful. But today it rains, so today it loses!
As the battery is flat too, we simply cast off and drove south west.
On the way out of Cite Europe where we took on some diesel we say a couple of hitchers, and as we were feeling in good spirits we picked them up.
They were quite chatty but after a while we were ...

I've been here before when i did some sailing in my youth so i know it well.

We moved onto honfleur and found a nice stop 2Km from honfleur which was free and had a large football/basketball court for jake to play in
... museum, which is home to oceanic, african, and asiatic art. It was so cool and probably the best set-up museum I have ever seen. While it is not a huge attraction to many tourists, if you have any interest at all in that type of culture/art, it is really worth it. We headed back to Ile St-Louis and it was wonderful again and ended the night by randomly wondering around the right bank of the seine and watching the sun set. Then ...
Rouen, Normandy, France laurenobst... jeeps while music from the 40s was playing. The cool part about this museum was the 20 minute video they played. This was entirely comprised of film shot of American troops during their training for d-day, their time in Great Britain, and the actual battle itself, as well as interviews from veterans who stormed the beach. It was amazing to see all this actual footage. From there we went out to the beach, which looks just like a normal beach. There is no scar from the ...
Rouen, France tmcclurg... at the LePage's so I can just send it off tomorrow hopefully...but now I must go study for our quiz tomorrow. I hope things are going well at home, with school, sports and other craziness. I was talking to my French brother about soccer "football" the other day. He said that even Americans who think they're good at soccer are usually not as good as the average European...but he said Matt has an open invitation to play with his pickup team if he's ever in Europe.
