      ... 20 minutes) rest, we got back in the car and drove to the center of Reims, where we found parking in a garage near the Cathedral. The walking street was crowded with shoppers. We tour the cathedral, which was very impressive. The proportions are amazing, and the arches soar above the narrow nave. The cathedral was heavily damaged in World War I, and so much of what we saw was reconstruction. The windows in the apse are modern – including works by Chagall. Stunning!

      ... were treated to beautiful views of the champagne valley spread out below. The cutesy village has medieval wrought-iron signs at every window, which act as clues to the activities that go on in the buildings, they were very interesting to try and decipher!
