Historical Traveler Reviews Best Florida Resort Lauderdale by the Sea

Best place to stay at Lauderdale by the sea

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Best Florida Resort from July 28th

through August 2nd 2005, and absolutely loved it! If you like a small

resort, this is definitely a place for you. The owner's we met had to be

some of the friendliest people that we met during our stay in Florida.

They were very helpful and full of ideas of things to do and places to

see. There were restauarants and stores all within walking distance

which really made it nice. The beach is just a short stroll from the

resort. The room was clean and nicely decorated. My favorite feature of the

resort had to be the pool area. You were surrounded by palm trees, tiki

huts, and felt like your own private paradise. The maid service was

excellent and if it weren't for a couple of early mornings, I would have

never met her. So no need to worry about someone banging on your door

when you stay here. The next time we make it back to Lauderdale we will

    definitely stay again.

Better than most of the 4 star hotels I have been to

If you are ever in the Fort Lauderdale area, this is the place to stay. The owners thought of it all. The decor and furnishings in the rooms are truly unique, not the usual hotel room furniture. The attention to detail including the bedsheets, towels...everything was fantastic. The gardens around the pool made one feel as if you were on tropical island. I have been all over the world and this place is one of the best.

This has my highest recommendation. The name is correct, it is the Best Florida Resort.

    Best deal in Lauderdale-by-the-sea !!!!!

We spent 10 nights in the Best Florida Resort and we can only confirm that all the previously made positve comments are 100% correct.

The overall state of the accomodations, as well as the entire resort facilities, the perfect location (e.g. supermarket, beach, restaurants), extremely competent & friendly owners couple - go out of their way for clients all the time - and, last but not least, a very effective and reliable maid service (Grace), made our stay a memorable one.

    Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful

Best Florida Resort is, by far, the nicest and most attractive place that we've stayed. Rooms are done tastefully and are very clean, quiet and the perfect get-away! The kitchen area is fully furnished with all necessary cutlery, pots, dishes, etc. The outdoor area is absolutely beautiful. The owners take great pride in their property and we give them an A++++. Hope to get back there again.

    Best florida resort review

I thought the accomadations were excellent and the staff would bend over backwards to help you in any way. The owner even went as far as to take me deep sea fishing a couple of times. The over all look of the grounds were excellent with a very tropical setting and some sunny areas to sun bath as well. The room was very clean and newly painted. The maid service was excellent and was there to accomadate me . Everything was close , pier, shopping , lounges, etc. and only needed a rental car for long out of town trips. The pool was very clean and well kept as was everything.

The room had cable tv, micowave, and frige and all looked new. Thank you for a relaxing time and a great vacation!

    In a word Perfect

I stayed here from 4/10 to 4/13 this place is gorgeous, don't let the price fool you, every nice thing said about this place is true. The rooms are roomy with all the comforts of home, the decor inside the room as well as outside the room (walk ways and pools areas) is Perfect, I don't have one single complaint. The owners are more than helpful and are full of suggestions on what to do and where to go. This place is as neat and clean as they come. I had made prior reservations at The Clarion Resort, which I didn't know until I reached ft lauderdale is located right next door. I am so glad I canceled my reservations with them and stayed here! If you pick this hotel, you made a smart decision, good luck booking a room, they often have no vacancies. I was told they get a lot of repeat business, I see why!

    Absolutely Enchanting/Fabulous Location

My husband and I recently spent some truly memorable days at the Florida Best Resort in Lauderdale-by-the-sea, owned by Bozena & Tomasz Jurczak. We were so delighted and enchanted with our accomodations that we immediately sent them the following letter of appreciation, which I will share with you:

    Friday, 25 March 2005

    Dear Mrs. Jurczak,

We want to thank you for the opportunity to stay at your resort. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Lauderdale-by-the-Sea.

Most especially we liked the delightful atmosphere you have created at your resort for your guests, both outdoors as well as indoors.

Your artistic flair is apparent in every detail - the unique purple/black neon sign, bamboo entance gate, tropical patio and garden, the elegant motif in each guest room, the brightly colored fish and frogs that form the backdrop to the pool area.

It is all done so tastefully. You have done so much in a relatively small area. It is easy to forget one is so close to Ocean Drive as the trees form an environmentally friendly and effective barrier.

Our accomodations were absolutely fantastic; comfortable, aesthetically appealing, clean, centrally located, safe and very reasonably priced. It was relaxing to sip evening cocktails in the patio amidst the tropical plants, totem poles, elaborate wooden chime/gong, etc. Refreshing and relaxing.

I want to extend our appreciation to your housekeeper, Ewa,

who did a thorough job at keeping our room in perfect order and clean (without the smell of strong chemical solvents.).

    Please thank her for us.

Our stay at your resort contributed to the overall memorable and remarkable vacation we had in Florida.

    Once again thank you!

    Grateful Vacationers

Your Own Little Piece Of Paradise

My husband and I recently returned from a months vacation in Florida. The Best Florida Resort is a wonderful place to stay. The tropical garden around the pool area is beautiful, especially at night. The rooms are immaculate and the location can't be beat. You're within walking distance to everything Lauderdale-By-The-Sea has to offer. The owners go out of their way to make you welcome and take great pride in the tropical paradise that they have created. We will be back next year.

    Great place to stay!!!!

The Best Florida Resort offers rooms that are well decorated and well maintained. The owners are very proud of their resort and it was kept very clean at all times. Another plus is that it is very well situated (within walking distance of the beach, stores & restaurants). We definitely recommend this resort to an adult clientele!

    Peaceful, relaxing and well maintained

The Best Florida Resort is a very affordable hotel with great amenities. The tropical plants and trees that line the front of the hotel block out traffic, which gives you a secluded feeling as you lounge by the pool. The pool area is nicely decorated with a polynesian style. Outside the rooms and around the pool, you're surrounded by a tropical garden.

The rooms are all very clean and recently remodeled. My husband and I stayed in a one bedroom that included a fridge (not a mini-fridge) that we could put plenty of groceries in. There was also a toaster, coffee maker and dishes and glassware. Our friends stayed in a small studio apartment that had a living room and kitchenette that came with pots and pans, dishes, utensils, salt and pepper and all the extra stuff you need to use for cooking and having meals. A supermarket is located less than a block away which is really convenient.

Best of all, the beach is less than a minute walk away! The beach was clean and not crowded.

I highly recommend the Best Florida Resort for people who appreciate cleanliness and enjoy a peaceful, quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The owners of Best Florida Resort really value their property and emphasizes that their guests also have the same respect.

... to catch to our hotel in Kissimmee. We hopped on the bus and navigated our way to our Hotel “Royal Parc Suites”, and the bus dropped us off right outside the hotel, winning! So we head in, check in and get told that its free beer and wine from 5-6pm and we had 15minutes left. So if we wanted free alcohol, we could grab some on the way to our room. This was certainly a nice welcoming given our long day spent on buses and trains. ...

Today had a very long swim in the pool and a great relax. We played with a water ball that we purchased from the resort and some blow up water toys. We had lunch at the Front Porch Cafe just around the corner from where we are staying. We looked along the beach at stalls where people were selling jewellery ...

As our treat for walking so many miles, we ended up in the Cove Bar for a chocolate martini. The bar staff wanted to know if this would be a regular drink, we said no that tomorrow would be an expresso martini. He then gave some suggestions on others that we may like to try. Sounds like they will keep us in martinis for a while.

Not long after I was woken up from that a baby started crying a few rows back, every body in the cabin went from settled and sleeping to well and truly wide awake. We got into the airport and followed the signs to the baggage claim that then put us on a train to then hop off and weave our way around. Our connection in CLT would normally be tight, but the plane we are supposed to take from CLT to GSP is delayed leaving from Harrisburg, Pa. and therefore should be late leaving from CLT, so we might luck out. All lookin good. We just deplaned and walked from one ...
