Anchored off the town clearing customs. We have our last expedition recap by the Captain and Nicolas. The captain informs us the typhoon that was coming our way has now changed course and is heading away from us which is good. After cruising through the Shiretoko Peninsula yesterday, we arrive in Russia this morning. The Shiretoko Peninsula is the southern most area to have sea ice in the northern hemisphere. We did not see any whales but we did see a large pod of little black dolphins. Korsakov, the city we are visiting today is actually part of Siberia in Russia's Far East. ... the doctor, as the past week my left 3 fingers have gone numb for some reason - I think this might have to do with the beginnings (or possibly advanced state) of carpal tunnel syndrome.
