    ... Ghetto and Latvian Holocaust Museum. A small museum that has personal details of a number of those who died written on lit-up shades. Outside are walls with the names of those who died. Many, many names. That was enough sadness (seemingly necessary) for the day. A walk through Central Market and we were back to our apartment. A worthwhile day..

    ... Had an iced coffee [a major seller] and a nice fruit plate with an edible almond bowl. Tony also came by. It was a rather swish setting, near St Peter's Church [10]. Seems to me more Latvians smoke than Estonians.

    Was on my own again. Ran into Heather who reported Tony was ahead of me. Headed for the other side of the tracks re the markets and the Academy of Sciences' building. One had to cross the railroad tracks. It was a great divide ...
