    ... at Oslo we have to collect baggage, clear customs and book the baggage again...unusual. Flight left on time at 6.00pm for the 2 hour flight further north. 5 past 8 at night and we're on the ground in board daylight in Kirkenes ( pronounced chyknez) airport...12 miles from town. Shuttle to our hotel and a buffet dinner was all that was on offer..very substandard according to my traveling companion (the hotel specialist critic). Now for the finances..... I ...

    The trip took 28 hours all in all... The landscape became a blur and we slept as much as we could, sneezing and sniffing through the better part of the journey. No doubt about it, we were both ill as you can get, after a city of hardly any sleep and constant abuse of our bodies.
