I hate it here in Georgia!

... me (but he's also inviting his friends Harry and Harry's girlfriend, Shirline)! Plus, he said he knows where my greatest friend, Willa "Paige" Brooks, is and that's where she's taking me after dinner! He has to be the best boyfriend in history (if he wasn't, then all the other boyfriends in the world would be dumb, and they already are)!

Gotta go, Dean text me!!! Black Sea Coast

Arrived at the Black Sea holiday town of Batumi late in the evening after a grueling journey over the mountains from Tbilisi. We took the southern road over the hills and it turned out to be one of the worst roads we have encountered on our journey, not made any better by the pouring rain.

The day started badly with the straps holding Baz's bike on the trailer snapping and catapulting his already sorry-looking ...

GEORGIA ON MY MIND- BATUMI & TBILISI

... math time's scarce anyway, so I decide to move on from Trabzon even before I get there. There's only one ferry per week IF THAT, and I'll need to get back from Armenia before that. So when I get to Trabzon I immediately get a bus to Batumi in Georgia; I mean IMMEDIATELY, like five minutes later. There I'll inquire about the ferry before moving on, even if it actually leaves from Poti. The bus seems pricey, but these cross ...

Georgia, part 2

24.9.2008: Back to Tbilisi According to Lonely Planet there are just morning-time marshrutkas to Tbilisi and so I leave my idea of visiting holy Echmiadzin to be just an idea and take the 9am marshrutka. The bus whips through Armenia passing some snow-capped mountains [it got quite colder], crosses the borders [the Georgians even have an x-ray there] and arrives in Tbilisi one hour ahead of schedule [thus just 5hrs!]. This time it was really a comfortable ride. I spend the ...

Cracker Barrel, Dublin in the pouring rain

12/15/07- We said our goodbyes to S &L at Amacolola Falls and took off for the south trying to stay ahead of the cold snap that most of GA is experiencing. It started to pour by about 11:30 and came down hard enough so that our wipers couldn't keep up with the rain. We pulled off outside of Atlanta and had some lunch while we waited it out. Got back on the road heading for Tybee Island where the evening temps aren't forecast for ...

I cant believe everything that has happened.

Yes, I did travel from Mont Tremblant to St Augustine Florida. It was not as scary as I made it out. The trip only took 2-3 days. Not much site seeing.. but navigating New York was intimidating. All the expressways seemed endless after living in the country. And New Yorkers were ??? Driving through the Carolina's, the hotel receptionist had no teeth. Finally getting to Florida. Lots of sand and no flowers. My cats survived the move. I did not stop anywhere that I planned as ...

Those who've spent any time in Turkey will likely remember the ubiquitous evil eye amulets, hung on babies and buses to ward off malevolent glares. Heading across the border into Georgia was thus a slightly rattling experience, knowing I would now be moving beyond range of its watchful and protective powers, crossing over into this mysterious and forgotten corner of the former Soviet Union.

Much to my luck I soon came to realize ...

Georgia

... The lake is encircled by pines and oaks and all the other botanus-greenery that I have failed to learn to identify in my Earth-ology. It's odd to me that in all my lifetime observations and studies of the natural world, that I still refuse to take the time to learn plants and trees. I need to work on that. The soil, however, is as orangy-red as all the songs profess. It is especially cool when a downpour occurs and you watch this river of orange milk flow past your trailer and ...
