    So think planes, trains, and automobiles! Fast train to Rome, flight to Frankfurt, flight to Vilnius (Lithuania) and then 3 hour drive to Klaipeda, executive committee meeting, dinner with Carole and the day ended!     ... 7lbs of ground beef later we were ready, Michael loves to cook and I know he was excited. Our Pirtis parties usually are fun - first experience for Michael. Lots of food brought by everybody just to show hospitality and good intentions. I was mad, for no good reason.     ... enjoyed the sunshine and feel no sadness with leaving tomorrow morning! Would I recommend it to fellow-travellers? I’m not sure – if you want to visit just to “tick that box”, then go for it! But, it is part of Russia, so it requires the complicated Russian Visa, though for holders of an EU Passport, you can get a 3-day Transit Visa, which is more than enough time!
