... So we are in Baku, but don't know exactly when we are leaving, definitely not before Wednesday afternoon, but it might be 4am on Thursday... who knows?!

Luckily Baku is a nice city - but quite expensive. For a Muslim country it is very liberal, we have seen alcohol sold very cheaply, bacon on the shelves and pork readily available. It is a very rich city, lots of designer wear and western brands, we even saw a Marks and Spencers ...

... I thought I might be heading the wrong way. After confirming I was on route, I tried to get back on my BMW. However, it had other ideas! The frame of the bike gave me an electric shock. Not a little tingle but one that led to an expletive laden reaction. Unfortunately, I then had to touch the bike to see if it was a build up of static..... it wasn’t, which led to more pain & cursing.
