... the lake view from our window seats with the snowy Sierra Nevada peaks in the distance. Well done Mr Smith 1, a birdie to you for organising a top dinner, just sorry you had two backpackers tagging along on your romantic night!

The evening adventures however were not yet done! Unbeknown to any of us the walk to the restaurant meant we had walked from the State of California to Nevada, no wonder ...

... we weren't going that way anyway. We had a drink at a bar by Lake Tahoe and toasted our trip. All in all it was great and as crazy as we were to take a 50 year old airstream 7,000 miles it went pretty well. We'll have to do a few repairs when we get back but nothing major. Unfortunately now it is flat out too dangerous to attempt two. Mountain passes this time of year are notorious for the ...

... surprising. Yang loved it so I'm glad once again.

While Tahoe has been great, the lack of snow has been disappointing and I'm really keen to get to Jackson Hole as it supposedly snowed 20 inches in the last 3 days there. I want powder.

This trip was my third time to Lake Tahoe but the first time in 7 years. Some things have changed but not a lot has also - I can see new buildings/shops here and there but I'm hoping there will be ...
