0999. An Old City in a Beach Town (Spa 069, 11A-146) Marbella, July 16, 2011 Day 462: 4 hours, 4.3 kms Next I head back down to the coast for some towns that I'd skipped My first stop is Marbella which I’ve passed through and never felt drawn to explore it—looks like a pompous beach town whose most notable structure is a huge multi-storey department store along the highway. The Costa Del Sol is a long standing favourite of the Brits- from Malaga to Gibraltar, the coast is dotted with resorts- Calle's & Playa's, small towns and large places like Marbella, Malaga, Figuenrola, Torremolinas and others. Now we have spent time here, not sure why some people might be a bit sniffy about this area, its mostly lovely!

Calle Mijas was a favourite and Benejafare too. They are all white washed houses, elegant bays and long, long beaches dotted ...

      Time has flown.
Been at Benalmadena one month and time to move on to the Almeria area.
The Costa Del Sol seems the same all along the coast line. Thousands of apartment complexes for the tourist from the North coming to the warmer climate. ...
