      Denmark can be summed up with four words: family, eat, drink, sleep! We had a great time with the Danish family and they made sure that we wouldn't be hungry for about 2 months. The days were filled with eating yummy Danish food, playing games, watching football, short walkings at the beach and drinking beer / red wine.       The castle owners commissioned a number of artists about 20 years ago to create sculptures in the forest. Many of these are very interesting and others have fallen down over the years. We also found hundreds of blackberry bushes laden with fruit.

      ... freezing! Once I got my breath back, I realised that I couldn't taste any salt in the water or feel any on my skin. Henning said it has a very low salt content because of the huge rivers from Russia that feed into the Baltic Sea.

      Here we are and a little disappointed with the weather (rain) but the coffee is fine and we are still on holiday! The rain eventually cleared giving fine views of the crossing to the main island with Copenhagen.
