Today we leave Bergen and make our way further up into Fjordland. Our hotel is in Hafslo. Side note. It is a good thing the town is named Hafslo because if it was Haffast, people would mock it calling it "**********". We had a choice of a westerly or an easterly route. ... and we ended up hiking in T shirts. We ended up traversing across to another mountain, off the track, to reach the highest point. We spent lunch at a small outlay, already offering remarkable views of the landscape and had a quick swim under fresh snow-water waterfall. The place literally felt like an untouched paradise. Onwards and upwards, finally making our arrival at the peak some hours later, and wow, it was worth every step. They say a picture paints a thousand ...

We had booked an afternoon ride on the Flam railway today, so we had a full morning free. We slept in a bit and then Mom and I went for a walk in the Flam valley. We walked a few miles to the old town to visit the old church. Along the way back, we stopped for views of waterfalls, fishing docks, and a guy's personal grain mill, powered by the river.

We had lunch with Dad on the ship and then the 3 of us met the group to walk over to the train ...
