We have just spent the last two nights in Milan - what a great introduction to Italy!

We must say though, our first experience of Milan was a little underwhelming. On checking in to our hotel, the concierge (who very generously sent up a bottle of sparkling wine and nibbles to our room on our first night to congratulate us on our …

We arrived in Como after a long drive from Bassano via Verona and the Hertz office to replace, yet again, the GPS. The Neverlost might be the case on the odd occasion that it works, but without it getting lost is actually quite simple. ... at a restaurant in town and headed back to the hostel. Although we were in a 6 person room, it was only the two of us. However, it was very cold so we piled on the blankets and went to sleep.

The next day we decided to take a bus from Bergamo to Lovere, a small town in a valley in the Alps on Lake Iseo. The hour bus ride was very beautiful since we were traveling in the Alps. The town was very ...

... our last meal enjoying sashimi and sushi at a sushi train with some wine of course. Then it was back to our apartment to pack our cases for the final time. We have an early morning tomorrow- our taxi is collecting us at 6.50am before we take a shuttle bus from central station to the airport then Too many hours flying home. Not looking forward to the flights or saying goodbye to my sister. Thanks Milan- you were the perfect end to a seriously cool ...
