... so we jumped on the train, after proudly purchasing tickets with no help from locals. A couple of stops later we decide which exit to leave the station by... and OMG - we walk up these steps and there looming in front is the Duomo itself. No words here. Just magnificent.

And then we are accosted by about 30 people trying to sell selfie sticks, good luck bracelets, scarves,... the sellers are everywhere, they are persistent, and actually a little but ...

Sunday was as Sunday should be, spent in/at churches. The Duomo in Milan is quite spectacular and we arrived during Solemn Mass. We found a spot to stand and enjoy the rest of the service ...

... scotch and I soon start drifting off feeling very happy. Who says frequent flyer points don't work. Alas, all good things come to an end and we land in Milan at 8:30pm to a deserted Milan airport. There is nobody anywhere except two bored Immigration Officers who just stamp the passports without looking at anything, welcome to Italy. So we collect our bags and find our Emirates Limo driver and his new S320 Mercedes Benz and hit the freeway for the 50KM trip to ...
