... completely overwhelmed when we saw our 44th alligator at the end of a four hour journey. The last (and honestly most impressive) alligator was positioned just after the boat dock and only five feet away from the road. His eyes were half closed and he held that alligator grin that we thought only existed in the cartoons. We squealed with delight and fear at the ridiculous proximity to this huge wild beast and it was the perfect ending to the day's voyage.
