    ... sell an assortment of ready made sandwiches and Baguettes it was good and reasonably priced...As we are back in the UK we are back to using Pounds and everything is more expensive. After lunch we walked down the Mall to find a Newsagents to buy a map..we got directions in the big shopping centre and we had to walk through the Boots Pharmacy to get back to the Mall...It was the biggest pharmacy I have ever was as big as our Big W maybe even bigger..anyway I ...

    ... farm-scapes to Glastonbury. Another abbey but this one in
    ruins but in it's day it was the largest cathedral in England. On
    Glastonberry tor , a large hill with a tower built on top, it is said
    the holy grail is buried, plus King Arthur. It is supposed to be the
    isle of Avalon and he surrounding farm land once covered in water , to
    be the lake containing the lady of the lake ,who Arthur had to return ...

    ... After being here in Scotland and Wales, I think I understand why. In the US, you always know when you enter a park - there is a gate, usually a place to pay, an obvious visitor center, and signs along the road...not the case here. Here there are no entrance fees to the park because you simply are IN the park. It took me a few days in Brecon to realize this -

    Unfortunately, we didn't get to do as much in this ...

    ... the curtains half fitting the windows, the fact we were basically sleeping on the Main Street because we were the closest room to the Main Street and the fact we had no toiletry facilities except a sink with no tap... I mean it was lovely and I couldn't wait to stay there for the night! Considering the sink didn't actually work I took it upon myself to begin to use it as our toilet. I mean none of us were really going to walk across the car park to the main building ...

    There has been no let up from the howling winds & rain except for today which funnily enough has turned out to be okay. Dowlais Top & Gelligaer Common have no shortage of animals grazing the common land, here you'll see plenty of horses and of course Wales' favourite woolly companions....ahem...sheep.
