      Epilogue: Farm, Finca and Beach.

It’s November now. The leaves have nearly all blown off the trees, the clocks have gone back, the days are short and memory of warm sunshine and adventure and careless fun seems long ago. The pressures of work and responsibility have weaved their net once again and we are enmeshed in the pressures of daily living. What a first world problem! But it has prevented me from finishing this blog - ...

      Three days of Cycling done

Saturday we flew to Barcelona and took a car to Girona. Throughout the day we ran into our cycling friends and we all went out for dinner. Most of us stayed in a hotel next to the Cathedral, and we heard the bells chime every 15 minutes and mark every hour. It was a long night. Since then we have had three days of cycling. You must learn that not everyone is switched on in life, ...

Oh no, rain. That's how the day started off but what wonderful luck we had in that the clouds decided to part and from 11am the sun was beaming for our day of exploring Girona. Breakfast was consumed at a lovely little cafe not far from the old town (funny story coming later re: the location). As we consumed our fresh orange juice we marvelled at the living tree that had been planted to the right of us. Once we had filled our bellies, we moved on to locate the tourist information. ...

Alarm goes off, alarm goes off again, alarm doesn't go off. Oops, 10 mins before the free time expires on the car, I make a quick dash to put some money on the meter. As I approach it looks normal, it takes money but does it want to? No. As I puzzle over the confusion of the machine, a 'man sweeper', starts talking in Catalan, I respond in Spanish, luckily he responds in Spanish. After much confusion I find that actually it does like money, ...
