Great location, just 2 minutes from station centrale. Small hotel, very clean with very friendly staff. The breakfast was not a great as you could see in a 5 stars hotel but it was very good. Good hotel for a short stay.

Checked out of room 7am, walked to the train station and caught the train to Rome at 7.42am. Lovely smooth ride on the train, hardly any passengers, first stop at Lausanne at 8.30 am. Terraced vineyards on one side of the train, Lake Geneva still on the other side of the tracks. Next stop Montrieux then Sion, still vineyards terraced up the hillsides, snow capped peaks in the background. Next stop Brig, train filling up now along the way. Next ...

... guess we could handle that! Just as I was getting excited about no more trains! Haha So we caught the M1 to Milan and got off at the Duomo. We snapped photos galore before wandering through Milan. It is beautiful but super busy so couldn't imagine myself living here so much. Although the cafés and fabulous and people and friendly. We stopped for lunch (shared a seafood pizza) before calling it a day. Amy was feeling ...

... our bags to the hotel, we went to our room. I checked the reviews of the hotel and most of the negative reviews involved noise from subway/street/elevator so I called ahead to ask for a quiet room away from elevators/street/train. Well, that I got…we’re on the 5th floor in an interior room. I have never experienced the amazing labyrinth that we have to take to get to the room! If ...
