    ... in and get ready for our trip out to Schilthorn, one of the largest nearby mountains that Chanel had planned a trip for us. The weather gods were not with us today when we most needed to have good weather. Nevertheless, we took a train from Interlaken Ost to Lautenbrunnen and when we arrived at Lautenbrunnen asked the driver of a bus give us some directions.     Truth were the words that told me about the beauty of Lucerne. A model arquitecture of little houses on the two sides of a river that soon becomes a lake, with a striking view of the alps behind. Our hotel, Hotel Schlussel, is located on Franziskanerplatz, the old town square where the Christmas Market is located, so we have had a wonderful view of the market outside our bedroom window, as well as the smells of the raclette, gluhwein and waffles drifting into our building from the stalls, and the sounds of brass bands playing carols sporadically throughout the day and night.
