Waterberg Plateau Park, Namibia, 264-061-256580
Today began very early and, as usual at the moment, very cold! We had to be up at 6.15 in order to pack up and get organized for the border – I have to say I was a bit grumpy again because of the cold – hopefully no-one will notice and the t-shirt won't come my way yet!

The border was easy, even for The Baths, who were missing some of the vital car papers, and we set off along ...
Waterberg Plateau Park, Namibia emmaw... fluff with the sweetest of faces. Everyone instantly agreed she was our new truck pet... if only we could smuggle her aboard somehow.

Pulling ourselves away from these incredible animals we went back to the campsite and had a dip in the ahh rather refreshing pool (it was freezing). Plus it had massive bugs swimming in it with claws. Eeewww.

Another overland truck arrived... Africa Travel Company or something of the like ...
Otjiwarongo, Otjiwarongo, Namibia oliveramber... way for the three weeks till our return. The distances are massive, the towns are tiny, th**e are no ATMs and its hit or miss wheth** the tiny gas station (th**e are only a handful in Namibia) is going to have fuel. But what a stunning country. For three weeks the views wow you at ev**y turn. Reds, oranges, yellows, browns, purples, greens all framed und** a huge blue sky. Flat plains rise up into craggy burnt red plateaus ...
Otjiwarongo, Namibia denzilandthedocThe next morning we started early with a large cooked breakfast served in our room. Incredibly we managed to load everything in the Land Rover, something we had been extremely worried about and started off along the B1 to the Waterberg Plateau. We soon realised that although this was a tar road it was not without its dangers. Without warning cattle grazing quietly at the roadside suddenly turned suicidal and decided to cross in front of ...
Waterberg Plateau Park, Namibia jowhitingJa, soos die vorige trip moet gebreakfast word. Ons stop op Otjiwarongo, en eet sommer iets by die Wimpy. Toasted broodtjie met bacon en 'n eier of so iets. Nogal lekker gewees.
Otjiwarongo, Namibia nicky.bekkerOns moet Etosha toe ry.
Otjiwarongo, Namibia nicky.bekker... she was so stoked to get all our gear. Anna, Eddie and I were all packed up and ready to go as Adi sat on the bench leisurely rolling a cigarette with his stuff strewn all over the campsite... yep the boy is definatly in holiday mode, hes v chilled out! We planned to leave at 9am... 9.05am Adi sat pondering whether or not to lighten the load of his bag and leave his safari trousers for the cleaners too. Eddie prompted him that it was time to ...
Windhoek, Namibia touchafrica... optimistically looking for passage to London.... whilst Anna made excuses to the gardener about her luggage allowance and her inability to fit him in her rucksack, we headed up the mountain. Apparently it was meant to take 40 minutes to follow the path to the top, our competitive nature kicked in and we completed it in record time, reaching the top in about 20 minutes. Once at the top, Eddie took more photos of himself; shirt on/off, belly in ...
Waterburgh, South Africa touchafrica... pan... Ooo almost forgot to mention that we headed back to the location where we had viewed the lion the night before, to find no lion but a local walking to work at the resort... Apparently, lions appearing on the pitch during the local soccer derby's is not an irregular occurrence either! Back at the resort Tenae and I decided to have our cereal at the resort water hole. Whilst sitting there, a fella came up to Tenae and asked whether she had seen the ...
Waterburg, Namibia touchafricaStraight away we are greeted by a guy at the front gate (which turned out to be 25 mins away from the reception area including 5 mins to take pictures and spot small wildlife) who radios ahead....is that in case we get eaten en route? This is the first time we have crossed through the thousand of miles of fencing that lined the roads across most of the country and the signs already start to get a little more daunting.
