to the little restaurant attached to our hotel for dinner. We had a nice seafood
meal including fish spring rolls and creole flavoured fish which surprised us
with their flavour. The meal was probably the most expensive we have had since
leaving home although it was still only $60 including wine.

After the business side of it, we were picked up by a car and were taken to a safari lodge at the base of Kilimanjaro for a few days of relaxation and game viewing. The lodge was based in large tents but with a solid roof over it and it was just outside the national park which is basically a swamp formed by the run-off from Kili. It is not a smelly swamp though, and attracts lots of animals which makes it perfect to view ...
