    ... didn't reach what they predicted. I would have liked to have seen some snow, but it was only rain for us. The countryside here is so different to what we had seen in France. Here we see lots of lush green fields, chalet houses and tall towering mountains. Looking back now on our photos some of them don't even look real - they look like small villages and scenery made for a model railway.     ... all clear on being able to head up to Eigergletscher via the train to Kleine Scheidegg from Lauterbrunnen. As we left the tourist office we caught our first glimpse of blue sky so we we headed off.

    ... was awe inspiring! Not only did we travel there by train but we also hiked in the snow. Have I told ya how much I love this place? LOL!!! The Sphinx Observatory is located on top of the mountain which is accessed by an elevator that goes up through the top part of the mountain after arriving at the highest train station in Europe! Yup - it's way up there. ...

    ... In Winteregg, we got lunch. It was good, but really expensive. We figured it needed to be expensive to stay open all year. After we ate, we continued our hike.
