... In spite of the drizzle we managed to find our way from the huge train station across the river and a short two blocks to our hotel. So far so good. Our focus was to wander the old part of town along the river and get lost in the back streets. There were far less tourists than in Vienna which gave the city a more laid back feel. It's interesting that in Vienna the residents seem to dress in designer or fashionable clothing. In Zurich I felt right at ...

... the top of the cliff, having to backtrack into town. Another trail climbs, high, high up through the village and into the forest beyond. ... very touristy town of St Anton. This town is bustling with life with summer tourist coming to hike, climb, slide, bike on these steep moutain slopes. St. Anton does have a pedestrian street with a variety of shops as well--including supermarkets, so I'm able to stock up once ...

... like Tibet than the Alps.

Walking along a busy road, with ski lifts all around, I must say crossing this pass doesn't have quite the same raw magic as Splugenpass did. In fact, right at the very top of the pass is yet another cluster of hotels and restaurant.

There is one contraption that catches my attention: It's a cable that disappear way up the mountain, and a wooden box, which it looks like it's still in use, as a very, very rustic cable car to get up the ...
