... This 80 mile route usually takes relatively experienced walkers around six to eight days, depending on their fitness level and ability – but there is no need to rush. You can relax and enjoy the scenery, with mountain vistas, picturesque castles, villages and historic towns all inviting you to slow your pace and linger here. If the whole thing seems like a bit too much of a challenge, why not try one ...

A cold, dark, dirty and terrible place made us all realise just how lucky we are that we didn't have to try and survive in these disease ridden conditions. The bullet holes in the cement walls and scratch marks in the gas chambers will be something I'll never forget. From there we continued forward to Prague, (the hidden city.) Until then, ...

... with the 180 deg bends, cliff drop off and extremely steep sections both uphill and down. Our VW was struggling. Meeting buses along these roads..I was struggling too!

We arrived at our hotel about 5pm. It was a little tricky to find. It turns out Muhlbach and Hochkonig are two different places a couple of km apart. At one stage Tom Tom told us to turn right , which we obediently did, and ended up on the top of a mountain at someones house, the most windy ...
