A travel blog entry by sjlevaughn on Jan 09, 2015

We arrived in the Swiss Alps in order to help make some speciality Alp Cheese. Since the 15th century, people living north of the Alps have been using rennet – a substance from the stomach of a cow – to make hard cheeses. We had just climbed mountains, but we were glad we had reached the ...

I definitely had too many layers on. I noticed a few of the guys had sun glass tan lines on their faces. On our way back to the train we made a little snowman! ...

    Injury Day

... keep my shoulder in the sling for two weeks. I then arrived back at the hotel with my arm in a sling and a bruised face. I played cards with the Porters then went out for ice cream with them. Despite the fact I had hurt myself I still enjoyed the day. I looked forward to the next day even though I couldn't ski.
