Narelle is still very sick this morning. We pack and leave by taxi to the railway station to catch the 11.24am train to Salzburg. Although we are travelling 2nd class we have reserved seating. The train is very crowded and finding room to store our luggage was a problem. The seating was quite comfortable so we settled back for our 6-1/2 hour journey. There was not ...

The scene is lovely with Parliament House, the Bridge and Castle all lit up, it is very special. It's 9am on Sunday morning and I am sitting looking out of the window of our ...

I did the tour of the palace since the rain wasn't letting up. Then I caught the bus to continue on. I decided against getting out at Nonnberg Abbey since it was pouring and ...

... go pick out what kind of food you want to eat. It is really like a big cafeteria. We had a lot of fun playing cards and getting to know out new friend.
The best thing I tried in Salzburg was this candy I called Mozart Balls. They were little chocolate balls with some sort of green tea marzipan on the inside. They were delicious!

*Update: the balls are made with Pistachio marzipan covered in nougat and then dipped in chocolate! Yum!
