... so no pics will do it justice (I took video though). So instead of a snow pic, I have attached a special photo I took today at the zoo.

Then after that excitement I got the funicular up to the fortress and my battery died after 3 photos so they are not very good but it was worth it to get a video of the Pumas.

Now am hoping for some sun tomorrow which is my last day in Salzburg. I wanna see those magnificent mountains.

... was the Festung Hohensalzburg, the High Salzburg Fortress, standing atop a steep hill which looks out over the town, a mighty landmark, symbol of the city, and apparently the largest and best preserved fortress in Europe, whose construction started in 1077. ... Ok, that's not true.

Although no snow, I'm almost as excited about the prospect of seeing some sun tomorrow, as I have not seen one bit of sun since I left Sydney. The last tiny patch of blue sky I saw poking through clouds was in London, but haven't seen the orb since I left home. I'm doing the touristy places tomorrow so hopefully I will have some amazing views ahead of me.

... common grocery store in Europe and picked up a whole bag)! Our dinner took us to an Italian restaurant which was completely booked but we must have looked alright to the bar tender as she let us eat at the bar and then refused everyone else who made the same request. I think it helped that I gave her a mozart ball as a thank you! Now we are just relaxing and gearing up for our Salzburg Sound of Music bike tour ...

... at 10 to 12 € each and that was without a glass of mineral wasser. So we passed on dessert and walked home. Back in our room we were pleased to find non-stop Christmas concerts on several TV channels that we enjoyed. I think our tiredness reached a peak today and hopefully tomorrow we will feel really good.
