The local tobac sold stamps, so saved me a trip to the PO. Bliss.

Off to St Paul im Lavanttal for the Man of Nazareth exhibition. The village of Lavanttal is not recognised by google maps, so using St Andra which is close by. The Benedictine Monastery was built in 1091, and apart from its own extensive buildings, also incorporates a large enclosed formal garden complete with fountain, a vegetable garden and espalied fruit trees along the south ...

... Had the information about St Pauls and The Man from Nazareth translated....... geschlossen today but open Tuesday. Interestingly, the hotel staff were also surprised that the tourist sites were closed on Monday.

Shops with cards. Seventh heaven. And suitable cards. Wont know myself. I've been struggling all through Italy and France to find appropriate greeting cards.

... trees at a working farm. There's no restaurant but an honesty-box fridge stacked with beer. Later a young Austrian couple stroll over. They are going for pizza, and would we like some fetching. Oh yes please.


So with pizza and beer for supper we set up camp on lush grass beneath shady trees. It's very warm and for the first time camping on this trip there is no dew next morning.
