Christmas Eve was spent with a lot of relaxing. Big plans for a feast were discussed but not put into action until about 5PM. Whoops! Lucky American supermarkets never shut (literally open 24/7 every day of the year). On the menu was a delicious Surf and Turf (I was determined to have prawns!), on a bed of garlic mash. ... Christmas from North Carolina! We left Virginia and drove to Asheville, North Carolina to visit the Biltmore. It is the largest private residence, and it is huge!! We toured the house for over an hour and still didn’t see every room in the house! It is a beautiful house, and the Christmas decorations made it even more wonderful! They day after we arrived I jumped on the dreaded Greyhound bus and headed towards the Blue Grass State, Kentucky to meet up with Lisa, Lottie and Clayton for the Rolex Kentucky 3 day event. It was one of the best weeks ever! Lottie did really well and we had plenty of time to check out the horse park, trade stands (freebies!) and Lexington City. Exciting time-Going on Hurricane alert 3 times!
