There's a lot to say about food in Korea, in part because there’s a lot of food.

At times, it seems like Korea has a restaurant-based economy. One is rarely more than a few steps away from a place that serves food, whether a tiny hole-in-the-wall with a couple of tables, a street vendor selling something edible (we’re rarely certain exactly what it is), a fancy white tablecloth place, a traditional sit-on-the-floor hanuk, or something ...

    Epic Bike Ride

As a teacher I'm used to being organized and in control. The better I plan each aspect of the school day, the better the day goes. We first went to an area called Gangchon, where we took a trip reminiscent of the bamboo train in Cambodia, except this time in comfort. The old train line has been used for tourist purposes with a railbike being used to transport ...

    ... to be doing.

I was picked up bright and early by a woman who spoke no English and we were off to the mysterious Jamgok Outdoor English Camp. Where was this? I had no idea! What was I going to do there? Once again, not a clue. I think I am starting to enjoy the Korean style spontaneity! Forty minutes pass and we are winding through forested valleys, crossing bridges with crystal green rivers below. Over the river and through the ...
