    ... got room keys & headed out to explore town.

    Though the basilica, the ceiling was damaged in a 1997 earthquake, which killed 3 priests, the brown robes mean a senior friar following St Francis law, the grey robes mean junior friar, & the rules are not as strict. Walked down the hill then up the hill to the another chhurch in town, St Claire this has the Clarica nuns in residence.

    ... that was no surprise. Lovely speeches, huge and many food courses and very nice wine. The cellars had three levels, with the basement having roman bases and carvings. On the middle cellar level there was also the customary table set for Romeo and Juliet in case they called in. Got back to our digs at a reasonable time and so we all scoured our rooms for whatever drinks we had and ended the night in very happy spirits.
