Walking tour of Derry/Londonderry. Great guide who took us through the history of the conflict in northern Ireland. A passionate and neutral recount of the sufferring each and everyone had to endure. Hard to believe as it felt safe. I wandered around after the tour taking photos a lot of locals smiled amd said hello. A really pretty city. On the bus Donegal next stop. Only a short 1 hour but managed to take some photos and a quck lunch. ...

Today we stopped in Knock to see the Knock Shrine at the Parish Church. The Apparition of Our Lady, St. Joseph, St. John the Apostle, the Altar, the Lamb of God, the cross and angels appeared here for 2 hours with witnesses. They built a replication shrine and it is attached to the back of the church. There was an actual service going on while we're there ...

We probably traveled for about 4-5 hours today broken up into two main stretches and I thought I was going to die ugh!! Needless to say there was a lot of countryside today and I wasn't able ...

We then went on a lovely drive and went to the Arigna Mines, twas mighty cold in there, and we had the best tour guide, he had worked in the mines for 9 years before they closed in 1990. at each mark he would say a joke but begin walking onto the next place JUSt as he was about to finish his ...

... get to it.

Next stop Ceide Fields. This is a "bog" that now has a visitor center to explain how bogs are formed, the rural life before the bog and what eventually happened to make the area non-productive for the farmers. Interesting but the best is to come.

Next stop back in Inniscrone for lunch and the highlight of the day. We did something today that is truly a highlight for G but not so much for me. Actually I ...
