    Amazing to wake up in Scotland with a 6 June 1945 newspaper slipped under the door to begin the day of Bruce's birthday celebrations.     ... a really good talk about how he trains the birds and the birds obligingly give us a fine demonstration. We see eagle hawk, peregrine falcon and another variety of falcon - we have forgotten already :-( Each performs beautifully for the falconer and us, the admiring audience.     ... an interior that is "stunning and an experience in its own right" - well I couldn't disagree with that. My fish and chips were excellent and as in Golspie the night before the place was very busy.
    Total distance covered 18.7 miles - my left foot was still feeling the effects of blisters but hadn't hindered my progress.
