Bema Amsterdam

Partie en fin de journee de montreal,
le vol vers amsterdam c'est tres bien passe. A l'aeroport, emilie a
rencontre un ami de l'armee qui prenais le meme vol que nous! Rendu a
amsterdams, nous somme alle prendre un cafe avec son ami et sa blonde
puis ensuite nous avons traverser la securite pour prendre notre vol
vers venise.

... trucks are required to be and the far left lane is where the 100+ mph drivers are. It was quite a humbling experience to be cruising along at 100mph and see a minivan whiz past you at 130mph. Yeehaw!

It was also very nice to see all the big trucks always staying in one lane out of everybody's way.

... unable to find anywhere to purchase tickets for the bus and figured that you must have to buy them from the driver. As we were approaching the bus though, we noticed somewhere back inside the station that sold tickets, frantically running inside we managed to grab tickets, then dart outside only to find that the bus had departed. Very kindly though, Marjon and her mum, Elly jumped in the car and drove 30 or 40 min down to pick us up. We had a lovely dinner with them that night and the ...

... to central station and decided it was time to head back home. The canal tour was probably unbelievable and I am sure Will will take advantage when he goes back. I on the other hand had one thing on my mind ~BED~, so I didn't really enjoy much of the trip....bummer, because I am sure I would have loved it. We might go to dinner there on Thursday night without the kids and venture into the red light district.....should have some stories after that experience.

... the train station. We had read about a little diner in our guide book and were determined to find it! However, due to some dodgy directions and some even dodgier map reading this short walk turned into an hour and a half marathon. Michael's official excuse was that it was dark! Nice food in the end though... We ended the day on a high note, washing socks in the hotel sink!

Called into the supermarket for supplies which were duly strapped to the bikes for the return journey. I tagged along as they had been so patient with my own silly requests and actually, the one hour tour was over before I knew it. They took us everywhere, from the grass to the top seats and from the control room to the suites and then the museum. Needless to say, the boys were ecstatic...
