... We ran and the parachute picked us up and we were 1,000 feet off of the ground. It was incredible. After landing the guy wrote his name on the jump drive with the photos and guess what his last name was… Gruber. We then met up with others in our group for lunch and some more exploring of Interlaken before loading the bus for the airport.

If you ever get the chance to go to Switzerland, do it. It is unbelievable. ...

Three countries in one day

... are autonomous. Their representatives gather once a month in the capital Bern. Each canton have their own laws etc. Switzerland is not part of the Economic Union and use the Swiss Franc although most shops accept euro notes but will give you francs in change. There is conscription and must serve for 3 weeks a year until they are 40. We arrived in Lucerne around 5.30 and look forward to exploring the city tomorrow. Off for tea now and hope to find fondue.

... bit today, and it measured the amount of Kms we covered, I'd say that not only would my little piece of handy dandy technology be showing me the nicest of edelweiss flowers (let's be country specific here shall we..), it would have shown a whole friggin' forest of them!

... and then took the train back to Wipkingen. Moment of panic....Robert got off train and then the door shut before we all got off and we had to go to main station and catch the next train to Wipkingen and Robert waiting.

Back to the house fixed appetizers of olives, pate, olive bread, brocolli, and cheese and wine and then Stefan fixed a delicious rattatouile. Lots of visiting and then off to bed.

... on decided we would walk the 3kms uphill to our apartment rather than hang around in the village. It was a struggle as the day had reached a beautiful temperature of 19 degrees which would have been great if we weren't struggling to walk up a hill! We arrived back at our apartment hot, tired and exhausted but we were able to sit outside in the backyard and enjoy the warmth of the afternoon ...
