      ... This huge building sits right on the river's edge and with its hundreds of arches and spires made from almost-white stone and a huge central roof-dome of a deep red, this is perhaps the most impressive building we have seen on our travels yet.

      ... we had been speeding. According to him, we were going fifteen kilometres over the speed limit. He started with a price of sixty euros, but then seemed to indicate that because of the kids and me, he would reduce it to twenty euros. We still weren't sure why, but at least that was an improvement. However, when Paul told the police officer that we had no euros, he told us there was an ATM two kilometres down the road. Great.

      ... right on the edge too so we popped in for a break and had a coffee and a pice of apple slice. 13 zloty all up so about 3euro for the slice and two coffees which is super cheap considering there are no other cafés there to compete with. Arriving back home we cooked up a vege soup brith with some noodles and fresh bread from the bakery. All the ingredients cost €5 and it was really yum!       ... search of the I AMsterdam sign. It was quite wet and jason and I both saw two men slide. Out on their scooters as they were turning corners. It was our last night so we went to our fav "burger zaken" shop for dinner and then went for some drinks. I bought some little key rings for 1euro each as souvenirs and my awesome Holland clog slippers for 10 euro... Have been loving wearing this around on the colder ...
