Droga do Bialego 3 Zakopane, Southern Poland, Poland, 34500, 202-12-00
... more traditional food like baked cabbage with meat.

A route which I especially recommend, and which I do more or less once every 2 years, is a trail to Chata pri Zelenom Plese (literally: a house next to a green lake). It takes about 3 hours to get there, and the walk is not too taxing even for a beginner. It's a peaceful place with a lake, a cosy hostel and the mountains. There are a few trails than ...
Tatranska Lomnica, Presov, Slovakia translucent... 9 other people and 2 guides. Every single person besides us spoke Polish. The guides did not speak English either. So the entire time was spent listening to everyone howl with laughter at our guide (must have been funny) while we just sat and watched the mountains around us. Really great ride, just wish we knew what was so funny. Anyway, the trip took us through the a gorge and down the river to another small town. We hopped on another bus and got back to Zakopane for ...
Zakopane, Southern Poland, Poland unbound... you to wait for your group on a lower level if you suffer from a fear of heights.

On the levels of the castle you will find some traditional tools used by people of Orava in the past, as well as paintings, musical instruments, weapons, furniture, clothes and animals that used to live here. Some of the towers and terraces of the castles are available for the tourists, and it's advisable to stick to your ...
Oravský Podzámok, Žilinský, Slovakia translucent... into account that at least one way you'll be climbing up. It's a problem if you like cycling, like I do. Riding down at a dizzy speed is really pleasant and fun, but then coming back is a pain.

What to see when you're in Bukowina? Take your trekking shoes and something warm to wear and go to feel the mountains. I especially recommend Dolina Pięciu Stawów Polskich, with the biggest waterfall in ...
Bukowina Tatrzanska, Southern Poland, Poland translucent... They "officially" all look the same. I am unsure why I keep visiting churches. We all know I am going to hell especially if you could see all the pretty eastern European girls. I am back in Poland, I really wanted to spend some time in Zakopane, which is the Banff of Poland. I have a few days to kill before heading to Warsaw to visit Monika. I will leave Monday for Budapest. I know it is a weird schedule but at least I managed to visit most of my friends. I will write tomorrow.
Zakopane, Southern Poland, Poland cleblanc00... one last excruciating climb to find my Chata I was going to stay at for my duration of the high life. I walked through the front doors of the chata into the common room to find to my surprise about 15 other individuals up here. I was not greeted at all while walking in this chata surprisingly. I figured with a community of fellow hikers, climbers, and other extreme sports that brings us together - there would be a warm welcome of hot chocolate and singing coombya over ...
Stary Smokovec, Slovakia jaywehrs... over, but skiing season has not yet begun. After stepping off the bus, I found my way to the minibus that would take me to my hostel, about 10 min outside of the main town area. The hostel was a cute, wooden house near the entrance to the national park. It felt very cabin-like and cozy. I woke up the next morning to discover that it was snowing, only this wasn't the light, fluffy, pretty snow. This was the wet, almost-like-freezing-rain-but-not ...
Zakopane, Poland laura1... As the clouds rolled in I was tempted to head back, not really sure what would happen if it started to storm and weary of being one of very few hikers on the mountain.. but I was determined to reach the top.. even if it wouldn't give me the great view I was looking forward to.. this was a personal challenge! Anyhow, you get the idea.. I highly recommend visiting the Tatra Mountains in Poland/Slovakia - it's beautiful and super inexpensive.
Zakopane, Poland b-side... where you can see the whole city and the rest of the huge mountains. The view was incredible. The Canadian dollar is worth twice as much as the Polish dollar. So we are living like Kings here. YOu can buy dinner for 5 people for 50 bucks Canadian. Its amazing. Krissy has never seen mountains before so she is loving it here. Unfortunately it rains alot here but we have been luckly enough to have a few sunny days. Their are a few internet cafe's here so me and krissy went there ...
Zakopane, Krakow, Poland bfaldowski... the barracks, gas chambers, and the ovens. The hair, glasses, suitcases, etc..left from the people who were sent to their deaths. The busride there was interesting..like 3rd world almost. Cheap travel though, 7 Zloty one way- 4 Canadian Dollars. Lot of people from the US here.
