Our first morning in Cracow dawned clear, a good omen, and we took our trial ride in the city -- an easy couple hours on their marvelous bike path system, giving us ample opportunity to check out the gears, the brakes, the saddle settings, and oh yes, beautiful views of the Vistula. We stopped by some of the university buildings, Wawel Castle redux …

From there we could hike it down or buy lifts down. The pricing was SOOOO confusing to me. The names are foreign, people are in a hurry behind you, we don't speak the language, it's expensive..... So we spent a few extra euros than we needed to. Things are super ...

... included fruit and tea as a compensation. Basically that was our lunch each day since we got up late and then ate an early dinner at the buffet. The first night's buffet was heavy, traditional food and we were worried, but the food got better as the weekend approached. All in all the food was good for a buffet.

This is the laziest we've been on the trip so far, but it was what most people call a "vacation." What's that?
