    ... gardens a lot of the way. We moored just past Sandiacre on the Monday and just past Cotmanhay on Tuesday. Arrived at the end of navigation, Langley Lock in Eastwood, and moored on the visitor mooring in the basin. The manager of the basin came and introduced himself and seemed a very friendly, helpful person. We plan to stay overnight and make our way back down the Erewash tomorrow.

    As one of last year's candidates stated "Buckle up-you're in for a ride"...I have taken that as the indication to seriosuly knuckle down and firm up my scholarship plans. So to those of you kind enough to read this, watch this space!

    ... than that I was struck by the sheer beauty of the vista. I was on a path that ran between two lakes. At the side of the lake were a pair of Canadian Geese with 10 goslings just having a siesta, not at all bothered by this intruder standing there watching them.     ... time with Sharon , shopping, lunch and generally chatting non stop !! Have visited my elderly aunt Olive a few times in the residential care home where she now lives and I think she has enjoyed seeing me. As I write this Bryan is winging his way here and arrives tomorrow ...

    ... Dad, I've only been gone for 4 days!' I said. 'But I need to get every hug I can get over the next two weeks!'
    I still can't imagine leaving, but I believe that God's holding onto my hand and he's not letting go. At 'One' I bought myself a 'Bible in a year', which just happens to begin on 1st September. I'm (weirdly) really looking forward to reading it!
