The day started far too early. We had set the alarm for 4:15am so we could present ourselves in the Marina Lounge at 5:30.

Our butler, Rony, impeccably dressed as usual, appeared punctually at 5:02, bearing the breakfast we had ordered last night. We wolfed it down, since we'd been warned that we wouldn't be getting much to eat until dinner, except for a boxed meal on the train.

... the road. The sound of a sharp whistle would blow every few minutes because few people are used to being strictly confined to the cross walk paint.

We walked around the fortress a bit longer to see other buildings, a small view of the city, and a couple colourful parks.

Dinner was at another moo-moo cafeteria chain. I got a strawberry drink with little strawberries ...

... but it does make it all a bit fake, and means the few real marble heads and the like don't stand out. The large pieces, including wall friezes, are impressive, though. Amongst the pictures, the portraits without provenance always seem a little too prosaic; 'Portrait of a man' '...a woman' '...a man with whiskers'. Some fabulous art, and a Titian display there at the moment, though I'm sure they rotate them regularly. Don't be fooled that ...
