... of town in a rural-ish area. It's peaceful, homely and the wood fire was in full swing for us when we arrived back after our long day.

The second activity recommended to us by the Information Centre was a drive (or hike if we had the time) up to Mount Battie for views of the area. This was absolutely worth it! We would have loved to hike, but our time here is limited and we were keen to cover as much ground as ...

... first century, as we visited this winery which has only been in operation for a few years. We saw the vats where the wine is mixed, and the oak barrels where it’s aged, before we headed up to the house for a wine tasting with one of the owners. That evening was our final dinner together, and we went to a restaurant we’d visited earlier in the week. The other people in our group are very interesting to talk to – I’ve enjoyed getting to know them ...

Packing camp this morning, we remark how most people who come to Camden stay in picture perfect B&B's or gloriously romantic victorian inns. We laugh at this as we put away our tin coffee maker, Coleman lantern and roll up our tent and know that food tastes even better out in the wild. Amazingly, we have another fantastic day of sunshine and warmth, with zero humidity. Superb weather.

We are up early and decide to visit the summit of Mt. Battie, an 800' ...
