We spent a busy morning making the boat ship shape. I had the honour of cleaning the heads. It was a picnic compared to lying on the pontoon scrubbing the topsides yesterday, after half a bottle of rosé. We had a slow start on Friday as Ross's cousin was off to work and we were left to our own devices. ... King Henry VIII to B and Erin, who don't know much about British history in general, but I had no pictures with me or pen and paper to even chart it out. Fewer things are more difficult to explain with no visuals than British history. We had seen at least one plaque or statue pertaining to Robert Burns every day, and all I could tell everyone was 'he's a super famous poet'. This exhibit reminded me that he wrote Auld Lang Syne, and who doesn't know that??

... two teas at lunchtime only to be served one cappuccino, so it seems that the lack of understanding goes both ways.

After that we managed a further quick visit to the shops to buy another hat, so that there would be one for Ruth, before we retired back to the hotel for a bit of a rest.
