We spent a busy morning making the boat ship shape. I had the honour of cleaning the heads. It was a picnic compared to lying on the pontoon scrubbing the topsides yesterday, after half a bottle of rosé. ... things that i would eat but putting that kind of thing in front of other people seems cruel. It's kind of how I imagine my parents felt dropping us off with the babysitter as kids, except where they had the incentive of being paid at the end of watching us, my guest will have only wine to turn to to escape my cooking. In some ways I think that might be better.

I'm sure Genna will write about how it went afterward
