We spent a busy morning making the boat ship shape. I had the honour of cleaning the heads. It was a picnic compared to lying on the pontoon scrubbing the topsides yesterday, after half a bottle of rosé. When I came back on board after being to the shops, UB was holding the ceiling in his hands. It had rained heavily and he'd discovered a leak or two. ... buildings. Continued on to the Cathedral - different to Dublin - seemed much older and darker - sandstone quite dark with pollutants. Restoration work just beginning. Huge stained glass windows and an enormous underground crypt area. Also walked around the nearby Necropolis - some very elaborate tombs and memorial statues. Good Morning Glasgow- someone up there loves me! I had the room to myself (there was supposed to be 3 other people in here) AND the SUN WAS SHINING when I got up!

My hostel is located right on the River Clyde, it is so beautiful (but dirty looking water) to have woken up with a city view from my room on one side and the river on the other. I must say, my travel book has been super on point with the hostel suggestions thus far.

... in Glasgow is of a manageable size and the Scots are very friendly and helpful people. The only problem was that after waiting and waiting for the luggage to arrive we learned that 2 bins were stuck on the plane and that they had called an engineer to come and fix the problem.
