Just outside of my hotel I can see two things, the cloud-topped volcano Mount Etna, and the hill-top city Taormina. I am going to Etna tomorrow, so today was Taormina time. It's not a very big place, you can easily walk from one ancient gate to the other in about 15 minutes, but it is a lively one. After lunch, Tony and I joined both Andrews, Brad and Katie and walked up the hill to the Sanctuary of St. Mary of the Rock high above the town.
