I saw some sort of diving ducks, I am not sure what they were but they could be merganser or perhaps goosander, and also cormorants which constantly dive into the foaming water at the base of the weir.     ... breakfast, we stopped in at the folk museum for coffee (acceptable) and treacle scones (excellent!). We sat outside with the sun now shining brightly, and were entertained by a duck and her brood of ten 'teenage' ducklings who suddenly all rushed up to get crumbs.
