Well this is where we ended up after legging it from Saint Nicolas the terrible town! We park up in the local Carpark in town as the Aire was predictably full at 9pm. We get our heads down and put the TV on and watch Terminator 2 with sub titles like you do! We are still laughing at ourselves and the great escape! ... of half an hour where we discovered lots of different water sources, no surprise thinking that this area has the famous Vittel sources! Than we went to bed and watched an episode of the Arrow. 12th We had a good sleep, had our first breakfast in the sun and left around 10:30. We had driven about 450 km on secondary roads doing around 80-90, so not to bad. At the camping they had two ponds, one with carpers and one with trouts. We ordered some trout with almonds for dinner which was beautiful and enjoyed our first night. Today is wet and drizzle. We leave to day to go to Fontenay.just had un exciting croissants,bread,jams,warm tea. We are so spoilt in NZ.! Showers were Luke warm. Quickest shower I ever had!. But I must admit these old buildings are so beautiful. Sleeping in them gives you a sense of what it was like. On the boat now. Had all our instructions issued. Girls have waddled off to do some shopping. Had to buy some yummy eclairs to eat on the way back ...

We set off on a 3 and 1/2 week road trip to visit various friends in Europe early on Friday morning, as we had a 9 hour drive to Epinal, in the northeast corner of France. We were going to visit Philippe, an old friend who used to live in Vancouver but moved back to France many years ago.
