    ... clamouring to stay here. Our hearts went out to some Swedish boats who were stuck here for the week that we were in paradise, comparatively speaking!

    After an overnight stay at Aabo Camping, we caught the 3hr Color Line Ferry from Hirtshals to Kristiansands; a very smooth crossing that was spent in the rather plusher Voyager Class lounge as the ship was nearly empty - according to the crew.

    The on and off loading was very quick and the ship left on time; on arrival we had to queue for a short time to get out of the Port, but very soon we were on the road in Norway.

    A fund day trip up and back to Alborg to see our colleague Paola, it was well, BLOODY COLD this morning, with the front of one train covered in snow, but jsut remained wet and cold.

    Arriving in Hirtshals we had to walk about 2km from the train station to the ferry terminal, a little bit of a trudge with a big backpack and the wind of the North Sea blowing in your face, but we made it. Once on board our ship, MS Stavangerfjord we found our little cabin before heading off to explore the ship.     I knew this was going to be a huge day for driving, certainly didn't help myself with the Belgian beers the previous night but managed to get away while it was still morning.

    Not the most exciting day, drove up to Liege, then Cologne, Hamburg and then the length of Denmark in order to get my booked ferry on Sunday morning from the northernmost tip of Denmark. ...
