ALARM 0515: Up, showered, packed and out into the early crisp morning air! Its -5C and pitch black. Our taxi takes about 10 minutes to reach the Central Station. A few "down and outs 'share a can of Carlesberg whilst chirpy Chinese types trundle their trolly suitcases (with impossibly tiny luggage) to catch a train to the Airport and home to Shanghai or Seoul . We nibble on our hotel packed breakfast waiting for the 0732 Train to ...
... here, both ends of the street may be seen. The street is 1,020 metres long; in addition there are 300 metres of direct extensions, Palace Hill (Slottsbakken) and Palace Place (Slottsplassen).

... and the fixed navigational obstacles and sail out along the fjord. After talking to other experienced cruise goers, they too had never heard a cruise ship with such a crescendo of sound upon leaving and were just as excited as us. We enjoyed dinner in the Symphony dining room where we observed all the small communities scattered along the fjord and watched the quarter moon rise, and then a walk through the shopping precinct before retiring to our balcony to moon ...
... to see a shopping mall where locals go to, and it was good to ride the bus and see some neighborhoods. I believe this was suburban. There were even some farm lands, with crops that were golden yellow.
The mall was kind of big, with some of the familiar stores such as H&M (which seems to be quite popular here), Banana Republic etc and some stores unique to Norway. What I was interested most were the stores that were similar to either Crate ad Barrel, or Pottery Barn. ...
... was great hey explained everything and we stopped for lunch at a little open spot in the middle of the fjords which was really nice and peaceful.
When we got back to shore i got a taxi to my hotel and rested up because I have my volunteering at the animal shelter tomorrow which I am looking forward to
