... There are 4 cruise ships in the port today and the streets are very busy. It is also a public holiday, Ascension Day and most shops other than restaurants and trashy souvenir shops are closed, probably a good thing as there are no bargains in Norway. Talking to the guide this morning, even though Norway is an affluent society the cost of living is extremely expensive with a lot of the locals going to Sweden or Finland to shop.
