... we would go and look at the mechanicals on the other side of the river. Hopped on the tram, walked over the bridge and found guess what - closed on Mondays! But we had a fabulous sightseeing day - the Chateau, the cathedral, the fountains and the pavement cafés. Home on the tram for a peaceful evening, ready for visiting Sue and Tony Berridge tomorrow.

For the first time since owning the house in France we have decided to catch the train from our local station at Questembert. The station is about 12km from Malestroit and is on the main line between Vannes (population 50,000), Redon (population 10,000) and Nantes (population 280,000) a journey of, if you catch a fast train, about one hour and twenty minutes from Vannes to Nantes. Our first super long train ride of the trip. The ride from Paris to Nantes seemed to take more time than physically possible.
