Highlights of our stay in Pornic were a long walk along the wild Atlantic past "les pecheries", little fishing sheds on stilts over the ocean with a large net to be lowered at high tide and, "mais oui", the FOOD!!! Good old trip advisor directed us to delicious shellfish gallettes at a local creperie!

It's main attraction was this huge mechanical elephant that people can pay to have a ride on - no, we didn't - I think it was better watching it move and seeing how everything worked.
