... how sitting in a theatre wearing 3D glasses on very comfortable chairs that move - not a lot - but enough so that it gives the impression of going up and down a roller coaster. Again, think Star Tours simulator at Disneyland. My stomach got left behind on quite a few occasions! It's really weird because I know it's not real and it's just a film, but my mind was telling me something else completely. Really good fun!

We enjoyed a pleasant cycle up the coast following the "velocean" cycle path past grazing cows, salt marshes and tidal flats where the ocean recedes up to 3 kl and makes possible the harvest of the region's ample supply of oysters and clams. A few very short conversations with friendly locals were highlights as I struggled to understand their enthusiastic explanations of the region ...
... days in Paris with Nat and Carmen. We stayed at a little apartment five minutes from the Arc de Triomphe and 10 minutes from the Eiffel Tower. There were three metro stations within a five minute walk also. Whilst some may wonder what on earth could be left in Paris that i haven't seen, you will be pleased to know that we did find a couple of things to do that were new to me! The first one was climbing to the top of Notre Dame. Haven't done that before ...
