... deserted for a time, meaning that it was left unchanged before then becoming a tourist destination. We enjoyed walking around the town's cobblestone streets and visiting some interesting shops that were mostly dedicated to selling local speciality biscuits and foods. Finding an excellent creperie that had been owned by four generations of the same family, we had a really good meal. John, being ...

... I'd plugged the trailer board lead in upside down! Quickly on board, and found a nice table by a window. A lovely smooth crossing in warm sunshine, with some ship spotting thanks to Phil at home. Greek bulk carrier Patromas heading to Rotterdam, and Jumbo Vision, a heavy crane vessel bound for Alabama. A steep hill (walked) to Kersaint, then we left the main road and found another section of the old railway, something we wouldn't have known about without the useful book of local walks in the gite. This was a lovely level track, ideal for my bike, but ...

... we identified as Pierres Noires, the land based lighthouse of Tremazan, and the ever present Le Four. Seven lighthouses and several other markers. Deb knew them all from sailing days. Two other visitors arrived and we asked them to take a photo of us. We returned past a field with some fine Breton horses, most with new foals, but one large mare waiting patiently for her delivery. All chestnut with flaxen manes. By now it was lunchtime. Porspoder had a ...
