... to lunch and a beer, then a visit to St Martins Basilica and the ride back, we got just before it started to rain again, it didn't last long so off we went again for a walk to the local supermarket for some bits. We have now had dinner and taken down the porch awning and reloaded the bikes and trailer ready for our move tomorrow...

Ended the day in Brehemont, after a few miles of treacherous driving, thanks SatNAv!!. Beautiful campsite, although a little oddity with the toilet paper, one roll for three toilets, you must guess what you need and take it in with you!!

Returning to the hotel, we have some time to pack for departure tomorrow. After a brief farewell party in the hotel's bar we drive to the town of Tours for dinner -- a gastronomic extravaganza at a local Michelin-rated restaurant: Charles Barrier. It is a perfectly delicious ending to an opulent and extravagant tour!
... make a quick program change and hop in taxis to the nearby Chateau de Villandry with incredible gardens. Everyone is delighted with the decision, and we get plenty of exercise climbing and walking in this expansive locale.
All benefit of exercise is erased, however, as we return to Tours for a stop at a wine cellar where we taste not only the fruits of the vine, but also local delicacies of cured meats and cheeses, with delicious bread. It ...
... My children seemed quite happy at the pool.
we are off for a canoe on Friday on the Cher River which passes underneath the Chenonceux chateau. We had to book a whole six days in advance as it is so popular. I think we will fare better then our previous trips as the company bills the canoes as Canadiana canoes which we will be use to while on the Dordogne we were obviously using French canoes which slowed us down as we were not use to them. Stay tuned for our next adventure.
