It's also nighttime, so it doesn't matter if I'd prefer to be a cloud or a mountain, they are both in a schrodiner's cat's state of semi-existence. Like me and my period at this very moment. I have drank all my water and now need to wee, so maybe this time I'll be lucky/unlucky enough to need a tampon. At the moment, in my mind at least, I am in both states. It's 6.00 and we ...

... used to stay from time to time. Walked the streets and to the Staffelsee and back to Hotel, it is well under 10 degrees during the day now. ... Tony. Lots of locals were around enjoying church and their 'passagatas'. Anyway we went to our Emmeji friend who recharged our Ipad, printed some documents for us and sold us some cards. Very useful visit.

Then we drove to Locorotunda – recommended by Roberto who is running La Trullesa where we are staying. It was only about 10 minutes away and parking was sinchy for a change.

What a gorgeous surprise. It is ...

... better Phil.

We set off for Matera which is about one hour away to the southwest. It has been voted in as another one of the amazing cities of Italy – this one has been UNESCO listed as a World Heritage site because of its 'SASSI' (which means stones) but it is actually a whole old city built into the caves/mountainside. And what a sight it truly was. The drive into this town was actually crazy – SO ...
