I arrived in Bern after checking out the beautiful city of Geneve. I walked a few hours around the city and decided it was time to move on... I am glad I decided to come to Bern for the day.. ... out to a Swiss mall, but found it too impersonal, expensive, and full of ordinary name-brand shops which can be found in any city in Europe. We had a much better time after discovering a second-hand shop just down the street from our lodgings, where we picked up improvised cold-weather "gear" in the form of heavy sweaters, which would fit under our jackets for our next stop: Interlaken, Eigergletscher, Grindelwald and the Junfraujoch!
