... and cooking, to wood-chopping and a rodeo. Cheryl entered the lemon butter I'd made into the lemon butter competion, and I won Second Prize, a total of $3! Not bad considering I'd only learnt how to make it a few weeks earlier, so if you're ever lucky enough to try my lemon butter, I'll remind you that it's award winning!

We wandered around before the rodeo started, and I was surprised to see real cowboys getting ready for the rodeo. I know that may ...

... few days to get back to Brisbane. This is our final blog until we head North from Brisbane at the beginning of August. We hope you have enjoyed your visits as we have enjoyed telling you our story. We have thoroughly and totally enjoyed our adventure so far. The lifestyle has more than lived up to our greatest expectations. The motorhome is more than comfortable and when plugged into 240V it ...

... you see them at the zoo, so it was great to see them so active. One Tiger climbed right up to the top of a tree to get it's prey which was an awesome sight. Next one leapt through the sky to get it. This was incredible as this Tiger was huge and leapt as high as a double decker bus. It was amazing to see. Then one leapt into the water to get it's food - this looked absolutely majestic to see. Images we didn't get on camera, but one's that will stay in ...

... the lake. So they all had to swim back to the edge. Shaun and the rest stayed there to help the rest and Shaun dived into the water to get the stuff floating away. What they didn't remember was all the warning signs for the sharks that were in the water. Brian was particularly shittin it cause he went into the water twice from some dodgy steering by the girl he was paired with. Brian had his cowboy hat on the whole time though, even when in the water!! Was classic ...

... had made it's way down to the beach! A guy had caught it by the tail and keeping it at length with this parasole pole.. genius!! The lifeguard was calling for an esky to put it in. The snake escaped his clutches twice. I don't know who moved quicker, the snake or the crowd! Finally a woman produced a drawstring bag and the snake was safely captured. It's Halloween and I have not seen hide nor hair of it. No trick or treaters at the Caravan Park!

Day OFF, 2. Versuch

Nacht ...

Noosa

A seriously early start today as we were up at 4.30am ready to get into Brisbane and get our bus at 6.30am to Noosa. We arrived in Noosa at 11am, just stopping on the way to walk up Glasshouse mountain. We had a pretty relaxed afternoon on the internet but did take a walk to the most disappointing lookout ever asit was literally blocked by loads of overgrown trees. We met up with our friend Emma who we knew from our surf trip as she had just arrived in from ...

Australia Zoo

One place that I wanted to visit while we were up this way was Australia Zoo, owned by Crocodile Hunter himself Steve Irwin, now owned by his widow. It was fab and well worth the visit. Lee thought it was a tad expensive at about $40+ but I thought it was worth every penny. It's huge and they have plans to expand it even further over the next few years. We saw all sorts of animals, I ...

Christmas 2005

I arrived home in mid-December to enjoy the festive season with friends and family. This year saw the graduation of a number of my friends from the University of Queensland medical faculty, a crazy, crazy evening of the GRM Christmas party, and lots of quality time with my family, including the newest addition to the Wilson family - little Isis Pearl.
